KWYH ("we", "us", "our") is a Canadian software company based in Ontario, operating under the laws of Canada. Our applications and website are operated from Canada, and your data is stored on servers located in Canada and in the United States.

We are subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's federal private sector privacy law.

2 Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: Email address, display name, and password (stored as a secure hash) when you register
• Collection data: Item names, descriptions, measurements, purchase dates, prices, vendor information, notes, and storage locations you enter into the app
• Photos: Images you upload of your collection items
• Vendor information: Names, addresses, phone numbers, and websites of vendors you add
• Profile information: Screen name and profile photo, if you choose to add one

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• App usage logs: Activity logs including login events, item additions, and errors — used for diagnosing technical issues
• Device information: Device platform (Android or iOS) and app version — used for technical support
• Crash reports: If the app crashes, diagnostic information is collected to help us fix the problem

2.3 Payment Information

We do not store your payment card information. Subscription and purchase transactions are processed by:

• Apple App Store — for iOS purchases
• Google Play Store — for Android purchases
• RevenueCat — subscription management platform

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase was made and the subscription you selected.

2.4 Advertising

During the 7-day free trial, we display a single advertisement on the loading screen through Google AdMob. Subscribed users do not see loading-screen advertisements.

All users have access to a Deals & Sales screen that contains promotional content from third parties. Viewing the Deals & Sales screen is voluntary — it appears only when the user actively selects it from the bottom navigation bar. Subscribed users may disable the screen entirely in Settings.

AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization purposes. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings.

3 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the KWYH application
• Sync your collection data across your devices
• Authenticate you when you log in
• Respond to your support requests
• Diagnose and fix technical problems
• Send you important notices about your account or the app (not marketing)
• Comply with legal obligations

4 How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored using Supabase, a database platform. Your data is hosted on servers located in Canada or the United States.

Photos you upload are stored in secure cloud storage, also located in Canada or the United States.

5 Data Retention

• Account data: Retained as long as your account is active
• Collection data: Retained as long as your account is active or until you delete individual items
• Activity logs: Automatically deleted after 90 days
• Deleted accounts: All data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion

6 Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use Supabase (data storage), RevenueCat (subscription management), Google AdMob (advertising), and Apple/Google (in-app purchases). Each acts as a data processor under our direction.
• Legal requirements: If required by Canadian law or a valid court order
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, you will be notified before your data is transferred

7 Your Rights Under PIPEDA

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time
• Complaint: File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca

8 Children's Privacy

KWYH is not directed at children under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you believe a child under 14 has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will delete it promptly.

9 Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Encrypted data storage
• Row-level security on our database — each user can only access their own data
• Secure password hashing — we never store your password in plain text
• Regular security reviews
